Fee Assured Specialist for Insured Patients

Mr. Rahman is a recognised specialist provider for all major UK health insurers.

We operate as a Fee Assured practice. This means if your policy covers the procedure, we invoice your insurer directly within their fee schedule. You will not face unexpected 'shortfall' bills for the surgeon's fee (subject to your policy's standard excess).

The 3-Step Booking Process:

  1. Check Cover: Contact your insurer to check your policy.

  2. Get Code: Obtain a Pre-Authorisation Code.

  3. Book: Contact us to schedule your appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A:Not always. While many insurers traditionally asked for a GP referral, modern policies often allow you to obtain an authorisation code through their digital GP apps or triage services.

The Golden Rule: Always contact your insurer before you book. If they issue you a Pre-Authorisation Code, you are usually cleared to see Mr. Rahman without needing to wait for a physical letter from your GP.

You may benefit from providing them with your procedure code - you can find this on the Surgical Recovery planner page.

  • A shortfall happens when a surgeon charges more than the insurance company is willing to pay. Mr. Rahman guarantees no shortfalls for approved procedures with major insurers. You only pay your policy excess.
